Spite - Who we are.

Spite began under the name Fallen shortly after opening day as a small group of friends who'd been gaming together in Everquest for several years. In EQ, we came from various hardcore raiding guilds on the same server, but formed Fallen to be a bit more laid back than what we were used to in EQ. As time went on and the guild grew, we reformed under the name Spite due to issues with the old name - Fallen had a carrot (^) over the "a" since "carrotless" Fallen had been taken.

Just before Zul'Gurub was released, we began getting an itch for the raiding we were used to from EQ, and we got the crazy idea to bend the traditional thought that a raiding guild had to require raiding. We wanted the raiding experience without burning members out if they didn't feel like raiding every night. In early October of 2005 we had grown to the point where MC was feasable. By December, we'd killed Ragnaros and set our sights on BWL. We progressed quickly through BWL, downing Nefarian in March. We progressed to C'Thun in AQ and continued to work on advancement in Naxx. Since the debut of The Burning Crusade we have gone through some growing pains but our strong ties and great friendships have made the guild one of the oldest and most respected guilds on the server. We have since cleared SSC, TK, Hyjal and BT. The Sunwell is the only instance left that stands before Spite.

Spite is not the typical WoW guild. Yes, we've progressed to the point of being considered an "end game" guild, but with a more mature mentality than is the norm for end game guilds. Although we have more than our share of joking and adult humor (i.e. bestiality and dick jokes), bickering and insulting each other is not tolerated. In addition, we try to stay "under the radar" as much as possible, avoiding flame wars in public channels and forums.
